Ministries

Saint Alban’s is a small but very active church. Our faith in Christ and love of God compels us to “love our neighbor as ourselves” which we strive to do through our different ministries.

Here is a list of some of the many ministries that we currently offer and/or support or have supported over the years. They are broadly categorized as outreach, inreach, upreach, and diocesan… though be it known that a lot of these could fall into other categories as well.

Note that where there is not a link (such as for our internal ministries) a brief description is provided.

DIOCESAN MINISTRIES — SERVING THE LARGER CHURCH AND WORLD

Bishop’s Lenten Appeal — These have included things like support for overseas and domestic missions, and humanitarian relief in third world countries (e.g. medical operations, parochial school construction and support, agricultural development, new church construction, etc.).

Seminarian Support Sunday — On the 2nd Sunday in Advent we collect donations for the diocesan seminarian support fund which is used to help seminarians and their families while they are studying and being formed for full time ministry.

Overseas Partnerships & Dioceses — Our province has dioceses in Haiti, Ecuador, India, and the Philippines. Our missionary bishop and liaison to them is the Right Rev’d David Haines. Many of the Lenten appeals go to support the work of the Church overseas.
